Psychotherapy and Counselling
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor. Psychodynamic psychotherapy and counselling is a type of in depth therapy. It allows people to develop an understanding of their inner thoughts and feelings and can also help them to gain a deeper understanding of how some patterns of relating may have roots in the past.

Psychotherapy is a collaborative process between the person seeking help and myself, which takes place in a safe and confidential setting. Rather than simply offering advice or reassurance, I aim to help you think about yourself and relationships differently. This process can be helpful to anyone who wishes to develop greater self-awareness and a better understanding of their relationship with others, both past and present. Psychotherapy can sometimes be a challenging process, which requires commitment to face and work through difficult feelings, as well as an extremely rewarding and cathartic one, whereby individuals are helped to think about and explore their own experience, to reach deeper levels of understanding and explore choices and options for their future.
I will listen carefully to whatever you bring to your sessions, in order that we may try to understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
I work with you so that you can develop a greater understanding of yourself, so that you may cope better with how you feel, and how you interact with people, and the world around you.
I am an experienced, professionally qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor and I work with people who are having psychological and emotional problems. I provide a safe and confidential space, where you and I can work together to explore whatever concerns or difficulties you might be experiencing. These might be concerns arising from recent events, or long-standing issues that you feel are preventing you from fully engaging in your life.
Many people find it helpful to talk to an objective, professionally trained person outside of their family or circle of friends. Choosing the right therapist is important and involves finding someone you feel you can trust and work with. Often it is the strength of the relationship between the client and therapist which is the best indicator of a good outcome. It is important that you find the right therapist for you, meeting for an initial consultation is a good way to start and see if the person you have found is a good fit.
When looking for a therapist it is important to make sure that the person you find is professionally trained and fully registered.
My private practice is located in either Kentish Town or Oxford Circus. I provide a quiet, confidential space in which we can explore what is troubling you.
I offer 50 minute sessions at the same weekly time(s) on a short-term or an open-ended basis. I charge from £80 for each appointment.
Prior to starting regular weekly sessions together it is useful for us to meet for an initial consultation. Sometimes we may decide to meet more than once to continue our initial consultation. This gives us time to get to know each other, and for you to decide if you would like to begin therapy with me.
I am an approved practitioner for Vitality Health and AXA PPP private health insurance.
